Opel Astra to be assembled in Serbia, in Kikinda ?

The negotiations about assembling of Opel's "astra classic" in Serbia were underway, said Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Economy and Privatization of Serbia. He did not state precisely where that old, but still wanted, mid-class model would be manufactured. It is most likely going to be Kikinda-based Foundry, which worked for Opel for years and used to assemble Opel automobiles labeled IDA. The general opinion is that the fact that the factory is bought by Kopar-based Cimos is not an obstabcle.
