NIS starts production of euro-diesel "4"

Already on October 1, 2006, NIS will start production of euro-diesel standard "four" in its oil refinery in Novi Sad. This fuel will contain up to 50 mg of sulfur. In that way, this company claims, the need for import of that type of fuel will disappear.

- Therefore, we ask from the Government of Serbia to cancel part of the Regulation on the basis of which the import of high-quality euro-diesel has been allowed over the last year - says Srđan Bošnjaković, general manager of NIS.

Novi Sad-based refinery will be able to deliver such euro-diesel to Serbian market in two months in the quantities that completely satisfy all needs of the market.

In addition to domestic oil, NIS will use its own fuel D-2 and liquid oil gas in the production of euro-diesel standard "four". All that will be mixed in the Novi Sad refinery where the line for making of hydrogen is being finished, without which the production of quality euro-diesel is impossible.
