Real surprises are yet to come - Extended list of tax debtors comes out in March 2012
Lists of the biggest tax debtors, which were published by the Tax Administration few days ago, are still in the focus of attention. Accuracy of these lists has already been disputed by several "debtors", and the Tax Administration has invited them to substantiate their claims in order to be deleted from the lists. However, when it comes to unpaid taxes, real surprises are yet to come. As people at the Tax Administration announced to eKapija, a list of all tax debtors will be published soon, and it will be updated every three months
- This is a list of the biggest debtors. No debt can be erased, not even those of bankrupted companies. We will publish the whole list that will include every single debtor. No debtor will be excluded. Such lists will be published and extended in the following period. We will probably do that every three months, so that all those interested can expect us to publish the next list as early as in March – Dr Dragutin Radosavljevic, director of the Tax Administration, explains to eKapija.
Among those claiming to settle their obligations on a regular basis and that they do not belong to the list is the City of Belgrade. Several companies, including Lasta and Srbijasume, deny having any debts, whereas Verano Motors claims to be on the list by mistake. People in Leskovac have not yet discovered who Novica Jovanovic is. He is listed as a debtor with the record high tax debt of RSD 308 million and, according to the list made by the Tax Administration of Serbia, he is the biggest debtor among physical persons.
