Plan for Section of Second Subway Line from Bezanijska Kosa Depot to Merkator Published

The Belgrade Secretariat for Urban Planning and Construction has announced the public inspection of the General Regulation Plan of Rail Systems in Belgrade with elements of detailed development of the second line of the subway system. This plan envisages the changing of the second subway line compared to the GRP of Rail Systems, in the part located in the settlement of Bezanijska Kosa.

The subject of the preparation of the plan are detailed development of the second subway line and amendments to the rules of development and construction of the general part of the GRP of Rail Systems, regarding the second subway line, whose route from the Zemun rail station to the depot in Bezanija is adjusted relative to the design defined by the GRP of Rail Systems.

The subway line 2 is planned on the Bezanija Depot-Mirijevo stretch, around 24 km long, with a total of 24 stations.

The second subway line is planned on the following route: Bezanija Depot-Marka Celebonovica Street-Clinical Hospital Center Bezanijska Kosa-Zemun Rail Station-Zemun Novi grad-Ugrinovacka Street-Filipa Visnjica Street-Zemun Stadium-City Park-Dzona Kenedija Street-Municipality of New Belgrade-Mercator-Arena-Sava centar-Block 18-Sava Square-Manjez-Makenzijeva Street-Juzni Blvd-Grcica Milenka Street-Vojislava Ilica Street-Zvezdara Green Market-Mite Ruzica Street-Ustanicka Street-Mirijevo.


According to the technical documentation, that is, the preliminary design obtained from the PUE Beogradski Metro i Voz, in the part from the Bezanija Depot Station to the Marka Celebonovica Street Station, the route is planned as a cut & cover structure, whereas, from the Marka Celebonovica Street Station to the Mirijevo Station, it is planned as a deep tunnel structure.

The plan was commissioned by the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency and prepared by the Urban Planning Institute of Belgrade.

The public inspection will last until October 6.
