Kragujevac to Get North Ring Road by End of November 2028 – Agreement Worth EUR 265.2 Million Signed

The agreement on the planning and execution of the works on the construction of the North Ring Road around Kragujevac was signed in Belgrade within the Introductory Conference on the project of the development of local infrastructure and the institutional strengthening of local self-governments in Serbia – the LIID project.

The value of the project is EUR 265.2 million, and 145 local self-government units will get grants for infrastructure projects. The deadline for the realization of the project is November 30, 2028.

The agreement was signed by the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, the acting director of the PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, and the director of Srbijaautoput, Zvonimir Markovic.

According to the official website of the City of Kragujevac, the North Ring Road around Kragujevac is planned as a traffic route around 22.2 kilometers long, which goes through the settlements: Cvetojevac, Novi Milanovac, Opornica, Poskurice, Divostin. The planned route connects the most important entrance-exit routes: the state roads Batocina-Kragujevac-Kraljevo, Kragujevac-Topola, Kragujevac-Gornji Milanovac and the exit branch of the state road Batocina-Kragujevac-Kraljevo, toward Kraljevo and Cacak.

The ring road begins at the fifth kilometer of the state road Kragujevac-Batocina and ends in the settlement of Dragobraca at the beginning of the newly planned Kragujevac-Mrcajevci highway.
