State Announces Additional Support to Further Development and Production Expansion of Sevojno Copper Rolling Mill
– We are aware that, without the industry, there is no perspective or economic growth. What remains for us is to join forces to overcome the challenges and solve the problems, because the Copper Rolling Mill is not just important for Uzice and the Zlatibor District, but also for the whole state – emphasized the minister, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.
According to him, it is necessary for the state to provide support to the investor in order for it to continue expanding the production and export of products.
The chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Copper Rolling Mill, Desko Nikitovic, said that, in the previous year, 120 new workers had been employed and added that the plan was to open a large solar power plant in that factory.
He said that the price of electricity and other energy sources important to the functioning of the factory had been discussed during the meeting and added that it was also important to solve the issue of connection from the main road and the expansion of the local free zone.
The mayor of Uzice, Jelena Rakovic Radivojevic, said that, in addition to meeting all its obligation toward the state, the banks and the employees on time, the company belonged among the very best companies in Serbia.
