Although it was previously announced that Erenli, the already built factory in the Green Zone in Leskovac, would start working at the end of 2022, when the first workers were supposed to be employed, the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, said that he expected it to happen at the beginning of 2023.

At a media conference, he said that the war in Ukraine had caused a disturbance in the market, causing the announced expansion of the Leskovac-based company Statovac to be late as well.

– We should literally start at the beginning of the year. Two days ago, we contacted Statovac, which is already working, but not at full capacity, and we were told that they needed to buy additional machinery. This is all because of what’s going on in Ukraine, the market has been disturbed. It is, however, certain that Erenlu will start producing, because it invested 16.6 million here – he said.

The Republic of Serbia allocated EUR 3.78 million to this company in incentives for the construction of a facility for the production of circulation systems for the automotive industry. Previously, Erenli was given, without a fee, state land of 67,469 square meters in Leskovac. The agreement plans for 340 workers to be employed by the end of 2025.
