Srbijatransport: It Is Realistic to Expect Transport Price Increase of 10-15%
– Transport prices are freely formed, they are determined by the market, but, due to the increase in the price of fuel, which makes up 30% of the structure of the operating costs, it would be realistic for them to be adjusted by 10-15% – Aleksic told Beta.
He added that the high degree of competition among the transporters postponed that decision.
– In the EU, the excise tax is RSD 39 per liter, and in Serbia, it is more than RSD 50. If our excise tax were lowered, it would make our business easier – Aleksic said.
The president of the National Association of Forwarding Societies and Agents, Slavoljub Jevtic, said that the members of that associations had already increased transport prices around two months before, by around 15-20%.
– Around two months ago, the transporters increased their prices by 15-20%. They are adjusting them according to the prices of fuel – Jevtic said.
