Entrepreneurs and business people have announced a protest in front of the Government of Serbia for April 30, with the request to stop the subsidizing of foreign companies, to reduce the tax charges on low salaries, to stop the discrimination of mothers-entrepreneurs and to reconsider several laws.

Milena Amon, a representative of the Association “Zastitnik preduzetnika i privrednika Srbije”, said for the Beta agency that the first request was to stop the practice of financing foreign investors and redirect the money to the local economy and agriculture.

– The charges on low salaries should be lowered as well, which is necessary for the costs of the average consumer basket – Amon said.

The second request is to equalize the status of mothers-entrepreneurs during a maternity leave and their compensations during the maternity leave with other female employees on a maternity leave.

Amon also said that business people sought a redefinition of the Law on Fiscalization, because “the time of crisis is not the right time for it to be implemented” and because it would not contribute to addressing the problem of the black market.

According to her, what’s problematic in the Law on Electronic Invoices is the protection of confidential data about the business operations, whereas the Law on Archiving is unnecessary for small and medium enterprises, because that documentation is not of public importance.

– It is meaningless for companies to archive the documentation about the business operations which already exists at the Business Registers Agency. It is unnecessary to pile up that sort of documentation in the archives – Amon said.

This association, which is organizing the protest together with the association of the Tourism Agency of Serbia (TAS), also seeks a quicker processing of business entities which operate illegally.
