Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) delivered power to Kosovo and Metohia and prevented complete power cut

Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) delivered electricity to Kosovo and Metohia and, in that way, helped local power company (KEK). This action of EPS prevented further power reduction in the province. Electric power delivery will last until February 27, 2005. Complete power cut was threatening to the areas that are supplied from substations Đakovica, Klina, Dečani, Peć and Istok, which are populated with Albanians. The request for delivery of electricity was sent to EPS after turning off of section of long-distance power line of 110 kw between substations Prizren and Đakovica, due to danger of falling of poles located on that part of power supply system of Kosovo and Metohia.
