Ministry of Education Opens Contest for Forming Master Studies in Artificial Intelligence
As said in the explanation, artificial intelligence started developing several decades ago, only to go through sudden development and expansion of its application in the current decade.
– Artificial intelligence has the characteristics of a general-purpose technology, such as a steam engine, railway or electrical energy, because it is applicable in all areas of the economy and the society, bringing revolutionary changes to many of them. As such, artificial intelligence can also improve the efficiency of the operations of the public administration and the quality of the services that the state provides to the citizens and the economy – the ministry says.
The contest is open for all universities and faculties founded by the Republic of Serbia or the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina which realize bachelor and master study programs in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Private faculties may apply at the contest along with the faculties founded by the state, whereby the carrier of the program of the future master studies is the state faculty.
The contest envisages for the future master program to feature mandatory fields of machine learning, deep learning and software engineering in the field of machine learning. In addition to the mandatory subjects, the studies will feature optional subjects in the fields of natural speech processing, computer vision, robotics and artificial intelligence in medicine.
The evaluation of the proposed study programs will be done by a special commission formed by the minister of education.
Applications with contest documentation may by submitted by September 24, 2021, at 11.59 PM.
