Supported by METRO Cash&Carry, Foodland exports products to Ukraine
- Foodland, which is engaged in production and trade in high-quality, healthy and exclusive food products, has started exporting its products to the market of Ukraine in cooperation with Metro Cash & Carry, the international leader in wholesale trade - Metro announced.
Using the opportunity to export goods via the chain of Metro Cash & Carry distribution centers, Foodland sells the products under Metro's private trademark Fine Food in all 25 Metro Cash & Carry wholesale facilities in Ukraine. The company exports olives with stone, without stone, with paprika, with hazelnut, and black olives, dried tomato in oil, caper, and pasta made of green and black olives. For start, about 100,000 units will be exported, and the value of such export ranges between 120,000 and 150,000 euros.
Foodland is the manufacturer of Metro's trademark Fine Food since 2009. Besides the fact that it makes products for the market of Serbia, the company also exports Fine Food products to Hungary where Metro Cash & Carry operated through 13 wholesale facilities. The export plan for Hungary is about 200,000 units per year worth about EUR 200,000.
Foodland also plans to start export to Austria and Bulgaria, it makes all contracts on indefinite period of time, while the size of export is defined for every year in advance. The company has over 170 employees, the headquarters in Belgrade, and the production unit at the foot of Kopaonik mountain, which it plans to expand by building a new plant.Most Important News
