Record Prices of Corn and Wheat Since 2013

At the end of the week, the corn and the wheat reached prices of 22 and 24.5 dinars per kilogram respectively, which is the amount not seen since 2013, the Commodities Exchange announced.

The weekly report says that the corn, with a turnover of 3,375 tons this week, was the dominant traded culture in terms of quantity.

At the beginning of the week, there was a drop of the price, but at the end of the week, it rose to 22 dinars, the highest price since May 2013.

The wheat reached the maximum price of 24.5 dinars per kilogram at the end of the week, and throughout the week, the price ranged between 23.5 and 24.5 dinars per kilogram without the VAT.

The weighted weekly price of wheat was 23.58 dinars per kilogram, a growth by 2.51% compared to the previous week.


The soybean was sold at 58 to 59 dinars per kilogram without the VAT, and the weighted price was 58.37 dinars, a drop by 1.82% compared to the previous week.

The total weekly turnover of goods at the Commodities Exchange amounted to 4,747 tons, a drop by 39.9%, and the financial value amounted to RSD 131.6 million, a drop by 59.4%, the weekly report says.
