Serbia Presides Over Energy Community
– Each crisis is difficult and brings challenges and the year 2020, in which Montenegro presided over the Energy Community, was one such period. However, I believe that the year 2021 will be a year of recovery. We are looking at great changes in the energy sector, on which we will all work together, from increasing energy efficiency, green energy and decarbonization as perhaps the greatest challenge in our region – Mihajlovic said after the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community, the ministry announced.
She emphasized that the goal was for Serbia, as the presiding country, to be an example to other members in 2021, both in adopting and implementing regulations pertaining to energy and climate change and in carrying out reforms and creating modern and efficient energy companies.
– We will also work on a quicker regional connecting in the field of energy, which is also important for the region’s road to the EU membership. Only together can we provide the right answers to the energy and ecological challenges that the whole world is facing – Mihajlovic said.
