Golubac Turning to the Danube – Amendments to GRP Envisage Construction of Marina, Terminal, Hotel and Forming of New Tourist Complex
According to this planning document, the urban area of Golubac is divided into six urban units: Zuti breg, of around 15.10 ha; Centar, of around 25.60 ha; Parlog, of around 54.84 ha; Proiste, of around 38.86 ha; Vinogradi, of around 49.95 ha; and Dedina, of around 12.36 ha.
The amendments to the GRP envisage the turning of the city toward the Danube and the tourists that would arrive by the waterway, through the development of the coastal zone with the reconstruction of the embankments and the overflow water protection.
The plan also includes the construction of a cycling-pedestrian lane, the construction of a terminal and a marina, the development of areas for sports and recreation and entertainment features – beaches, public green areas, a sports center, a new hotel in the Donja Marina location on the exit route toward Donji Milanovac. Let us remind that the president of the municipality has also announced, for eKapija, the construction of a new hotel.
– In order to secure the spatial requirements for the development of the travel-accommodation capacities, the reconstruction and extension of the existing hotel, the construction of a new hotel in Donja Marina, the possibility of the forming of a tourist complex in the location of the F.C. Djerdap football stadium and a new location in the proximity of the archaeological site are envisaged – the document says.
The project developer is the Arandjelovac-based company Arhiplan, and the public review is open until November 17, 2020.
