Four companies bought tender documentation for privatization of part of Port Bar

- The tender documentation for privatization of a part of the port in Bar has, so far, been purchased by four well-known companies in international maritime-container transportation - Andrija Radusinović, the CEO of stock company Container Terminals and General Freights of the port in south Adriatic, told Novosti. Radusinović did not want to reveal whether Serbian entrepreneurs were among them.
There are 4,730 container ships in the world. According to Radusinović, only 40 of them can not dock in the port in Bar. In that way, he denies the information announced by certain Belgrade's media that 80% of freight ships can not dock in the port in south Adriatic.
- The ships that can not dock in this port have the capacity of over 12,000 containers, they are the biggest in the world and there are only 40 of them - Radusinović explains. - The port in Bar can receive the ships that can carry about 9,000 containers.
The President of container transportation company Panšped, Vlado Stojanović, says that the future lies in the transportation of goods by railway, on the Novi Sad-Belgrade-Bar route, because the container train will lower the costs of transport by 25 to 30%.
