The recently founded MDS Tex doo company which manufactures so called “heavy duty fabrics” - namely uniforms and special clothing, has opened for work its sewn products facility in Bavaniste. The new investment of domestic entrepreneurs has created jobs for 34 workers. In addition, the plan is to employ 100 more workers and working day divided into two shifts. So far, over EUR 300,000 has been invested in the facility with plans for further investments up to EUR 1.5 mil.

The company`s management states that the most goods produced are meant for foreign markets but that they will able to meet the needs of the most demanding domestic clients especially regarding the uniforms for military, police and other specialized institutions and occupations, the site of the Kovin Municipality states.

The owner and general manager of the company is the young Danilo Milic who, as he pointed out, had made his dream come true.

– I am happy and proud to be able to continue my father`s work and his idea since he also worked in textile manufacturing, but in France. I am very pleased that I was able to make my dream reality and build this beautiful sewing factory on my estate in Serbia with the help of my family and friends.

The President of the Temporary Body of the Kovin Municipality, Sanja Petrovic, emphasized the advantages of employing local residents.

– As far as I`ve heard, the planned production capacity until Fall includes 120 workers with possible further expansion. A truly ambitious plan by the owner and company management which I have no doubt will come through given their serious attitude so far. New jobs mean people will stay to live here. I am specially glad that the investor comes from Bavaniste and that despite the opportunity to settle outside of Serbia he chose to work and live here, Petrovic said among other things and added :

The clothing sewn here aren`t manufactured anywhere else in Serbia. I congratulate the company on a great idea and I wish them all the luck and success in business and if they ever need support the local government is there to help according to our capability and authority.
