ANTIC: Energy sector stable
– Clear conduct procedures are being defined in order for energy companies to remain fully functioning and secure reliable supply with key energy sources – the minister said after the first meeting of the emergency group of EPS, held at the TPP Nikola Tesla A in Obrenovac.
He pointed out that EPS was ready to take all measures in fighting coronavirus to be adopted in the next period by President Aleksandar Vucic and the Government of Serbia.
The decision on forming an emergency group within EPS was reached by the company's acting director, Milorad Grcic, in order to maintain the stable supply of electric energy and limit the spreading of coronavirus.
The minister added that the session had taken two hours and that it had been attended by all the key people in production and distribution of electrical energy, experts and organs, syndicates, in order to define the priority questions and key procedures.
In the upcoming days, he says, all the measures will be followed and new ones will be implemented, from solving the problem of the transport of workers, disinfection of buses, increased hygiene and defining the work processes in all segments and under all conditions.
The minister said that Serbia was making a maximum effort to minimize all the negative effects and protect the health of the populace.
