Law on loan for construction of Tirsova 2 adopted – Investment worth EUR 75 million

The National Assembly of Serbia has adopted the Law on confirming the framework agreement on the LD 2009 (2019) loan between the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Republic of Serbia for the project loan for the construction of the new university children's clinic, Tirsova 2, in Belgrade.

The total value of the investment is estimated at EUR 75 million. The financial participation of the bank, in the amount of EUR 54 million, will cover up to 72% of the total costs, whereas the rest is to be obtained from other sources.

Let us remind that the mayor of Belgrade, Zoran Radojicic, announced that the construction of Tirsova 2 should start in the spring of 2020.

Among the main problems of the current hospital are the lack of spatial capacities, old and inefficient systems for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, poor fire protection and too many patients and their families in inadequate rooms.
