Italian consortium "Kozvik" and company "Ikaro" expressed the interest on November 25, 2009, in exploitation of thermal springs in spa resorts Vranjska Banja and Bujanovačka Banja, as well as in the spa resort in Medveđa.

The representatives of these companies and the municipalities of Vranje, Bujanovac and Medveđa have signed the Agreement on understanding in the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Leskovac, which includes the intention of Italians to invest in renewable energy sources by using thermal springs in spa resorts.

The President of the Administrative Board of "Kozvik", Pjetro Čekareli, estimated that it would not be difficult to attract Italian investors for that project because the three spa resorts in the south of Serbia had big thermal spring potentials.

The President of the Regional Chamber, Goran Jović, pointed out that that Chamber had established good cooperation with Italian chambers and expressed the belief that that project would be successfully implemented.
