Top Energy award for Wind Farm Kovacica – RES project of the year

Wind Farm Kovacica has been pronounced project of the year in the field of renewable energy sources. The Top Energy award for the development of Wind Farm Kovacica was won by New Energy Solutions, which designed, developed and managed the execution of the project.

The minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Aleksandar Antic, and the provincial secretary for energy, construction and transport, Nenad Grbic, are the winners of the special Top Energy award for an extraordinary contribution to the development of energy and energy security in Serbia.

The international forum on clean technologies is held for the 13th time under the working title Energy Digital Perspective of Serbia in Novi Sad.

Opening the two-day forum, Minister Antic said that Serbia was a regional leader in the development of RES projects, primarily wind farms. He added that new RES regulations could be expected in 2020, whereas auctions for feed-in premiums could be expected in 2021.



Grbic said that all the built and operational wind farms are located in the territory of Vojvodina.

– In this, as in all other activities, we have great cooperation with the Ministry of Energy. The synergy of good cooperation and activities has led to the realization of numerous successful projects – Grbic said.

The director of New Energy Solutions, Milos Colic, said that he was proud to win the award and to be contributing to energy and environmental protection in Serbia through his activities and this project.



– We are preparing new projects and I believe that, in the years ahead, we will be here with new projects which bring green energy to Serbia – Colic said.
