Croatia Airlines has started charging economy class passengers for advanced seat selection on several of its routes up to 48 hours before departure.

Economy class passengers flying to and from Zagreb to Copenhagen, Dublin, Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm and St Petersburg, as well as from Split to Copenhagen, will be charged fifteen euros if, upon booking, they choose to sit in an exit row seat, twelve euros for priority zone seating (first two economy class rows), and ten euros for all other seats, B92 reports, citing EX-YU Aviation News.

Senator and HON Circle members of the Miles & More frequent flier program are exempt from the charges.

Passengers who do not select a seat will be automatically assigned one at check-in free of charge.
