Technology park in Vršac - EU's most significant project in Serbia
- Construction of Technology park in Vršac is the most significant project of the delegation of European Commission to Serbia - William Louise, the Head of the team of Municipal Support Programme in north-eastern Serbia (MSP-NE), said on Friday (August 31, 2009).
On the occasion of his first visit to the building site of the future Technology park in Vršac, Lousie pointed out that certain foreign companies had already expressed interest in opening their units in that park.
- We know that it is difficult for people to find a job even in economically stable time, but we are now witnesses to the fact that the job can be found even in the time of the serious crisis. That is the essence of our business. In few years, few thousand people will be working on this location. If the end turns to be as good as this beginning, we will know that we have done the right thing - said Louise.
The Mayor of Vršac, Čedomir Živković, pointed out that the Town Hall had set the conditions for interested companies to bid for the parcels that with complete infrastructure, as well as that company "Tehnološki park" had been founded and that its aim was to animate and attract foreign investors.
- All those who want to invest in municipality of Vršac can do that under equal terms, and they must promise to finish the unit within two years and create new jobs. Significant number of foreign companies have already confirmed their arrival - said Živković.
He said that the purpose of that project was creation of new jobs as "the only way for quality resolving of social problems".Most Important News
