Cuban dancer Maykel Fonts on March 30 in Belgrade

Maykel Fonts, one of the best Cuban dancers, and his partner Sylvia Chappelli will hold a dance bootcamp at the Majdan Children's Cultural Center in Belgrade on March 30. The event is hosted by the Al Centro dance club from Belgrade

Fonts is best known to the local audience for his roles in StreetDance 2 and The Latin Dream.

There will be four theme workshops, and Fonts will demonstrate Afro-Cuban ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, flamenco, Latin-American dances and acrobatics.

Maykel Fonts (1976) graduated from the most famous dance Cabaret in Cuba, The Tropicana, where he studied ballet, modern and contemporary dance, Afro and rumba.

In 2000 he moved to Italy with the group Ire Batà and studied with several teachers including Virgilio Pitzalis, Marco Macchetti, and others.
