"Zekin salaš" and Bunny Museum presented in Krčedin
Catering-recreational facility "Zekin salaš" (Bunny's Farm) in Krčedin in Srem, worth 1.5m EUR, has been presented to the press.
The farm was built with the help of the favorable loans approved by the Ministry of Economy and with the assistance of the municipality of Inđija.
The Director of "Zekin salaš", Veljko Samardžić, said that the investor was company "Sremska Kuća", that the facility occupied the surface of 20 ares, and that it comprised 100 seats, congress hall, retail gallery, as well as that "wellness centar" with the capacity of 60 beds would be built soon.
He explained that "Zekin salaš" also comprised the Bunny Museum, which was inspired by the animal that was on the menu of the restaurant.
Samardžić said that the whole project had been inspired by Srem and Vojvodina in ethnological and gastronomic sense.
The President of the Tourism Organization of Inđija, Boris Paško, said that that municipality had the ambition to develop tourism potentials and mentioned Stari Slankamen, Krčedin and Čortanovci as examples of the places with such potentials.
He added that there had been no investments in those places so far, although they had enviable tourism potentials.
The chronicler of Krčedin, Mile Obradović, said that "Zekin salaš" represented the mentality of Srem because the people in Srem loved to "fight and drink, while the work and land cultivation are the things they least like to do".
"Zekin salaš" is the only farm in Srem that has been turned into a catering facility.
It is situated in the center of the village.
