"Fidelinka" and "Ishrana" at International Baking Trade Fair in Germany

Subotica-based “Fidelinka” and Sombor-based “Ishrana” will be exhibiting at the 60th International Baking Trade Fair "IBA 2009", which will be held in German city of Duesseldorf between October 3 and 9 – Munich-based Association for Organization of Vocational Trade Fairs (GHM) announced yesterday (May 6th, 2009).

So far, over 820 exhibitors from more than 40 countries have applied for participation in the trade fair that is organized every three years. It is expected that “IBA 2009” will be attended by the representatives of baking and confectionery industry and trade from about 80 countries.

Dieter Dohr, the President of the Administrative Board of GHM, said that 69,500 square meters of exhibition space had been sold to the date, while the manufacturers from Serbia had rented total of 75 square meters.

The Vice President of the Central Association of German Baking Trade, Heinrich Traublinger, said that the need for baking products, as well as appropriate technologies, would be growing in the following period. Traublinger reminded that, according to the data provided by Euromonitor, Serbia itself had imported about 9.5m EUR worth of baking machines in the period 2005-2008.

The representatives of baking industry and small trade stores will be able to get information on the leading trends and innovations in production at the baking trade fair in Dueseldorf.

The trade fair also offers the insight into the latest appliances, machines and equipment for production, new hardware and software, new raw materials, equipping of retail space, etc.

The previous IBA in Munich, which took place in 2006, gathered over 76,000 expert visitors and around 1,000 exhibitors from all around the world.

Rent for booth at the trade fair depends on the position and other characteristics, and it ranges between 176 and 332 EUR per square meter.
