Summer season opens on Kopaonik

The summer seasoned on Kopaonik opened this Saturday, June 23, 2018, and visitors will be provided with numerous sports and entertainment features. Various sports activities, such as rail bobsled, zipline, tubing, mountaineering, alpine cycling and panoramic gondolas are offered.

Among the new features is the artificial ski track, which will open in late July, and which is claimed to be the only such ski track in the region by the director of the PE Ski Resorts of Serbia, Dejan Cika.

– We will have picnic tours and promo weekends. We expect the season to be more successful than the previous one – Cika announced.

The president of the Municipality of Raska, Ignjat Rakitic, stated that the municipality, in cooperation with the Ski Resorts of Serbia, strove to motivate the hospitality facilities to work in the summer as well with varied programs, so that a full summer offer would be provided.

According to him, starting next year, the plan is for the summer season to begin with a music festival.

– Each year there are more and more events – Rakitic stated.

He also said that the municipality and the Ministry of Economy had prepared the project of water supply and waste water treatment in Vikend Naselje on Kopaonik, the funds for which should be secured by the next season.

The marketing director of MK Resort, Svetlana Kostic, says that the sports features will be available to the company's guests until the end of August, at promotional prices.

As she said, hotels within MK Resort are 60-70% full on average, whereas, on weekends, the capacities are up to 100% filled.
