Antenna Group to invest in content for younger audiences – USD 22 million for Cheddar cable network
After successfully launching and managing the media network for the young VICE Serbia, establishing the radio station PLAY, creating local TV show, documentary and morning program of TV Prva, Antenna Group is at the same time expanding activities in the global media market.
These days, Antenna has invested with its partners in a leading cable network of the latest generation, a so-called post-cable network – Cheddar, which creates original video content and provides information in the fields of technology, media and entertainment.
The value of this investment is USD 22 million and is headed by Raine Ventures. This investment, whose aim is international expansion of the network, also involves Liberty Global, Goldman Sachs, Antenna Group, 7 Global Capital, Dentsu Ventures, and the family office of Kelly Loeffler and Jeff Sprecher.

As an investor, we are excited to partner with its outstanding management team and fast-track Cheddar’s European expansion, starting with our TV and digital assets across our footprint – Antenna Group chairman, Theo Kyriakou, said.
As announced, Antenna Group will continue investing “in innovative content which will expand borders in further development of the TV industry in Serbia, as well as globally”.
