Mayor of Leskovac Goran Cvetanovic stated that Yura would open another two factories in Leskovac, where 1,500 people would be employed, the website of the local self-government reports.

Cvetanovic announced this on October 11 at the session of the Assembly organized in celebration of the Day of the City of Leskovac.

– The construction of one factory will begin these days and should be completed in May 2018. There will be jobs for 500 workers there – the mayor said.

The construction of the second factory, where Yura should employ another 1,000 workers, would start afterwards, Cvetanovic announces. The Koreans will invest EUR 15 million in the construction of the second factory, the website of the City of Leskovac says.

Let us remind that Yura found itself in the spotlight earlier due to employees' complaints about the working conditions. The then minister of labor, Aleksandar Vulin, confirmed last July that there had been irregularities in Yura and said that “they have been corrected, and the company has been penalized”.
