Klopot tunnel at Bar-Boljare highway priority section penetrated before deadline

On Saturday, August 26, 2017, China's Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) penetrated the first tunnel at priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway, Vikend newspaper finds out and B92 reports.

It is the right tube of the Klopot tunnel, 860 meters long, which was penetrated even before deadline.

According to findings of Vikend novine, left pipe a bit more than 900 meters long also will be penetrated in the next few days. Construction permit for Klopot tunnel construction was issued December 30 last year, since the works on that building officially started.

Construction of 42 tunnels and 92 bridges and viaducts is planned at the Bar-Boljare highway. Priority section Smokovac - Uvac - Matesevo, at the Bar-Boljare highway, is 41 kilometers long and 63 meters above sea level at Smokovec, the highway in Matesevo ​​is over 1,100 meters.

Construction of the first highway section will cost EUR 809.6m. Out of this amount, 85% i.e. EUR 688.16 m will be provided by Exim Bank through a loan, and the state of Montenegro will participate with 15%, or EUR 121.44 m.
