Government and Cisco working together on national agenda for acceleration of digitization
As stated, the memorandum was signed by Ambassador of Serbia to the USA Djerdj Matkovic and Cisco Senior Vice President for Government and Community Relations Michael Timmeny, and the event was also attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
The memorandum highlights the intention of both sides to start negotiating in order to reach an agreement on a program of a national agenda for the acceleration of digitization (CDA), the press release says.
The realization of this program might be a strategic move and build a long-term partnership that could help the growth of the GDP and employment and secure innovations and education in the public and private sector through the acceleration of the national agenda for digitization.
The press release also adds that the aim of the memorandum was for efforts to be made to come up with an approach which might be jointly owned by both parties and help attract foreign direct investments, strengthen economic development, meet a range of social goals, provide an opportunity for young citizens to take part in digital economy, stimulate digital innovations and competitiveness and create room for export-oriented and knowledge-based options.
