IGB Automotive to open new production facility in Indjija on January 24, 2017 – Value of investment EUR 4.5 million
– This is an investment worth EUR 4.5 million, whose realization has already led to employment of more than 500 workers, introduction of new products and implementation of new technology – it was stated.
IGB Automotive was founded in 2007 by I.G.Bauerhin GmbH from Germany. It produces car seat and steering wheel heaters, seat occupancy sensors, car seat heater cables and electrical control units.
In the territory of Serbia, the company has its production unit, which is at the same time the first within the Bauerhin group in size, the number of employees and the realization. It employs more than 2,200 workers and produces more than 20 million products a year, the statement says.
As added, the works on the construction of the new facility started in April 2016, and they were completed in late December of the same year. By realizing the said project, IGB Automotive secured an additional 7,800 m2 of premises for the already exceeded plan of 500 new employees.
The opening of the new factory, as announced, will be attended by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, the president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic, Ambassador of Germany to Serbia Axel Dittmann, General Manager of IGB Automotive COMP DOO Indjija Dalibor Beric, Karsten Hilmer, co-owner of the I.G.Bauerhin GmbH Group, and Volker Prescher, production manager of the Bauerhin Group Europe.
