OT Logistics sole bidder for 30% of Port of Bar – Polish company offers EUR 7.1 million and investments worth EUR 17.1 million
OT Logistics also offered the realization of a three-year investment program, which includes hydrological works on the Volujica jetty and the construction of new silos, rail car admittance facility and the ship loading facility in the total amount of EUR 17.1 million.
The business plan envisions a considerable increase in the amount of cargo reloading in the Port of Bar, as much as 70% in the first year, and nearly three times after three years. At the same time, the Port is to position itself in new international markets, especially in the area of the central European, north-south and Middle/Far East corridors, says the report by the Tender Commission.
The bidder, as they said, offered to take the obligation of keeping the current number of 412 employees over the next three years.
The Privatization and Capital Projects Council of Montenegro opened a public invitation for tender for the privatization of the Port of Bar on October 19. The tender documentation was bought, in addition to OT Logistics, by Abu Dhabi Ports from the UAE, Silos Granari della Sicillia, as well as Turkey's Global Ports Holdings, the current owner of the Bar-based company Port of Adria.
