The former Montenegrin prime minister and, until recently, the minister of foreign affairs, Igor Luksic, is the new director of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for Southeast Europe.

Luksic, and economist, will be in charge of the region in the company and perform his duties from Montenegro.

Last year, shortly before the part congress of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists, he indicated that he would withdraw from politics, and the party didn’t propose him for any of the important party duties.

The government decided in late 2015 to nominate Luksic for the position of Secretary-General of the UN.

Luksic withdrew from the selection process following poor showing in two unofficial voting rounds at the United Nations Security Council.
