Bid for Glass Industry "Pančevo" submitted only by Greek company "YIOULA Glassworks"

Agency has
announced today (February 26, 2008) that only one bid arrived for procurement of "Glass
Industry Pančevo".
The only bid was submitted by Greek company "YIOULA Glassworks".
“Tender commission
opened the bid at the meeting and stated that the bidder met all conditions
from the public tender for procurement of 100% of assets of the factory”,
Privatization Agency announced on its web site.
The people from the Agency
stated that they would evaluate the bid of "YIOULA Glasworks" from
Greece, in association with the consultant, within 30 days from the day the bid
is opened and present it to the members of the Tender Commission at the second
meeting.
By the way, tender documentation was also bought, in addition to
Greek company, by "Brikel" from
Bulgaria (which is already the owner of Kruševac-based “Trayal”)
and "Trimo" from Slovenia.
Privatization Agency has announced the third tender for Pančevo's glassworks on October 1st, 2007. The first one was announced in 2003, the second in 2005, and both of them were unsuccessful because there were no interested buyers.
All companies that deal with production, processing and trade in glass for at least thre business years and which had income of minimum 10m EUR in 2006 were free to submit bids.
