Geox to employ 220 more citizens of Vranje by the end of July
This information was included as part of the article about the conversation between the mayor of Vranje Slobodan Milenkovic and the representatives of the company Geox Marco Basilio and Gaetano Paolillo. The topics of the conversation were the company's operations and the development of the industrial zone.
As it was said on the occasion, Geox currently employs 1,080 workers, and by the end of this month, it will employ a total of 1,300 workers.
- The City of Vranje will be giving an even stronger support to investors, since the opening of work places is our priority. The Ministry of Economy has helped us and, very soon, the sewage system will be arranged. We will also step up the activities on the construction of a bypass route, in which we are also supported by the Government. The free zone must meet all the criteria and needs to be profitable to the city, in addition to providing jobs – said Milenkovic.
There was talk with the representatives of Geox about the arrival of sub-contractors planning to open new work places. The meeting was attended by Boban Stankovic, head of the Local Economic Development Office.
