In 2015, Russian gas giant Gazprom increased delivery scope to Europe by 8%, despite tensions which exist with West due to Ukrainian crisis.

According to GM at Gazprom, Alexey Miler, the company exported 159,4 billion cubic meters of gas out of former Soviet Union members which is almost 11,8 billion cubic more than in 2014, France-Presse agency reports.

Delivery scope to Germany increased by 17%, to record 45,3 billion cubic meters, gas delivery to France for almost 37%, Italy for more than12% and by 10% in Britain.

Increase in gas export was due to tensions in relations between Moscow and EU for Ukrainian crisis which is why official Brussels imposed sanctions on Russia and Kremlin responded through embargo for food products, French agency communicates.
