Panasonic increases share at Slovenian group Gorenje to 10,7%
Gorenje and Panasonic cooperate in a few fields and Japanese producer of electronics acquired the starting share through long-term strategic partnership with Slovenian firm in 2013.
As stated, Panasonic
then committed that without approval of the management and Supervisory Board at
Gorenje they will not increase their stake above 13% until 2018.
Gorenje and
Panasonic expanded cooperation in July this year but this did not generate
essential changes in ownership structure of Slovenian firm. The major individual
owner of shares at Gorenje are still Kapitalska družba with 16,4% and the International Financial Corporation (IFC)
with 11,8%.
The interest of Panasonic to increase ownership stake is interpreted as a good sign for Gorenje, Delo reports.
