Kostic to buy Kempinski Palace Hotel in September - Price at EUR 23 million
All the chances are that the most prestigious Slovenian hotel Kempinski Palace will become a property of Serbia's MK Group as early as this month.
MK Group's majority owner Miodrag Kostic is going to pay EUR 23 million for the hotel to Austrian financial company Heta Asset Resolution, which is only a fourth of the funds invested in the renovation of this hotel in Portoroz, the daily Delo reports.
Kempinski was also interesting to some buyers from Russia and Japan, but no bid has been submitted so far for the hotel that once was in the possession of Istrabenz.
It is a well known fact that Kostic also expressed interest in some hotels at the Croatian seaside, but no deal has been landed yet.
