The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) of Serbia has allowed the pharmaceutical company Hemofarm from Vrsac to take over Belgrade-based company Ivancic i sinovi that produces and sells pharmaceutical preparations.

As it was announced on the website of the Commission (kzk.gov.rs), the concentration of capital resulting from the assumption of control of entire operations of Ivancic i sinovi by Hemofarm is approved in a shortened procedure.

The Commission for the Protection of Competition has come to a conclusion that the concentration is allowed and that it won't significantly limitate, violate or prevent competition in the market of Serbia or any its part.

Hemofarm operates in Serbia as part of the German group Stada, producing and selling a wide range of drugs and medical products in more than 30 countries on three continents, which is why this pharmaceutical company is deemed a leader in Serbia and the Western Balkans.

Hemofarm has three subsidiaries in Serbia - Velefarm in bankruptcy, Vetfarm in bankruptcy, and Stada IT Solutions.

Besides, Hemofarm also operates several subsidiaries abroad.
