Filling of Rovni accumulation at Valjevo in late August
Markovic said to journalists that so far, EUR 70 m has been invested in the project as well as that the works in 2015 will cost some RSD 450 m while for the completion of the investment in 2016, RSD 400 m were set aside.
The project implies that with hydro system Rovni, water supplying is solved for neighboring municipalities in the Kolubara region with total of approximately 200.000 people and technical water for TE-TO "Kolubara B" in Kalenic provided which has also been built for years.
"Rovni" hydro system is a multi-purpose facility of regional character which has priceless role in flood protection which proved during May and June 2014 at the times of very high water level of the Kolubara. It is estimated that with partial closing of the dam at the Jablanica, damage from floods was decreased which would be much smaller if hydro system Rovni functioned.
