Approval for car export in eight days - Agency for Traffic Safety speeds up time for permit issuance
The Agency for Traffic Safety made the time for issuing approvals for car export to Serbia shorter for almost half the time. Now, it takes eight instead of 15 days of waiting, the acting head at the Agency, Milan Bozovic has said today.
- Late last year, it took 15 days on the average for some processes and now seven or eight is sufficient – Bozovic said for Tanjug.
He outlined that at the website of the Agency for Traffic Safety, one can easily check the status of exported cars subject by inserting VIN car feature in the search part, i.e. the number of motor or chassis.
Speaking of homologation of used vehicles which are exported to Serbia, Bozovic said that it takes only one day for approvals issued at the Agency.
He added that only when a request arrives on Friday, at the end of a working day, one must wait for Monday for confirmation.
He said the Agency has already organized a few meetings with importers and organizations so that it would open the doors and mutually solve all problems in that field.
Changed regulation implying stricter control of used cars import to Serbia became effective a year ago and control of used cars is conducted by six authorized organizations on more than 300 check points in Serbia.
Last year, some 50.000 used cars were imported to Serbia.
