Citizens to get funds from EPS shares soon?

Approximately 4, 8 million citizens entitled to free shares should next year get EUR 125 from EPS shares.

-The idea is to have EPS next year as a shareholder company. As of that moment, we could consider potential strategic partnership or some other partnerships – the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, has recently said.

This move is a condition that citizens get free shares of the company. Their value and number will depend on the value of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia whose estimation has been in progress. Good thing is the fact that EPS is regionally well-positioned company and that compared to other public systems it has been far involved in reforms.

Broker company, Sinteza invest group, estimates that EPS in optimistic scenario totals some four billion euros.

-Citizens would get 15% of EPS or EUR 600 m. Everyone would get approximately EUR 125, the main broker at Sinteza, Miroslav Radakovic estimated for Blic.

He, however, adds that estimation of EPS is very ungrateful.

-Business profit for 2013 were approximately EUR 2 billion which was a growth of almost 24% compared to previous year. As for 2014, we expect a slower growth rate due to May floods. Still, more significant increase in 2015 could be expected. It would increase EPS value – Radakovic says.
