SB-Soft has developed a customer information system for electricity sales and billing applications. The incorporated software solutions provide all data of relevance to both an electricity distribution company and its lower-level organizational units and the electicity industry as a whole as well as to the Ministry in charge.

This customer information system may be presented most appropriately through two groups of software solutions. The first group is intended for energy accounting and billing in a narrower sense and includes:


1. Billing

"Billing" software solution handles energy sales and billing for all categories of purchasers. It tracks a purchaser from first contacts with an energy distribution company to energy supply contract cancellation. This software solution covers all activities relating to: reading of electricity meters, invoicing for energy consumed, interest calculation, billing, prompt notices for late payments, disconnection of purchaser’s metering points, legal actions, etc. All these and many other activities are treated in detail by this software solution.

2. Reporting

"Reporting2 software solution provides reporting relating to the entire consumption area of a power distribution company: recapitulation of energy sales, book entry orders, list of bills receivable, list of debtors, circular letters, etc.

3. Operative Management

"Operative Management" software solution is intended for a power distribution’s company operations management, i.e., to those employees who monitor directly some business processes. It provides a variety of listings and checks such as: delayed payments by banks or posts, completed and uncompleted work orders, occurrence and elimination of operator’s errors, control of meter readings, agreed power exceeded, usage by hours, etc.

4. Print Manager

"Print Manager" software solution permits complete control of the process of printing large amounts of documents. Having in mind the fact that all electricity sales and billing companies must print large volumes of documents (bills, prompt notices, information, orders) in relatively frequent time intervals, this software provides not only speed comparable to any other print method but also considerable savings in equipment.

The second group of software solutions builds on the first one and includes:

5. Management and Synthetics

"Management" and "Synthetics" software solutions have been designed to meet today’s management needs for such information as is required for purposes of planning, organizing and monitoring the functioning of a customer information system for energy accounting and billing “Management” treats primarily financial and “Synthetics” energy indicators. The graphical and tabular reports generated by this software solution have the character of the global indicators of an electricity distribution company’s operations and functioning over a selected time period. The way in which relevant data are obtained, flexibility and the practically unlimited possibilities for generating particular reports by subsystems, company units, purchaser activities and months, the acuracy and quality of presented data and the ease of operation make this program a must for any power distribution company and for the electricity industry as a whole.

6. Wizard

"Wizard" software solution allows a user to specify independently the parameters for generating reports from purchaser’s financial cards and energy cards of purchaser’s metering points as well as reports from a summary financial and summary energy card . Reports may be generated for the entire consumption area and for its lower-level organizational units and for arbitrarily specified time periods.

7. Projections

"Projections" software solution is an aid to all those treating tariff issues in making various projections of a future tariff system, i.e., in tariff system planning and analysis. It permits virtual energy accounting to be made – calculating consumption effects by zones for several, arbitrarily chosen, connected and disconnected accounting periods, making sales projections – independent projections of future tariff system elements, reports on average energy selling prices, the structure of debtors according to energy consumption by consumption zones, etc.

8. Internet User Service

"Internet User Service" software solution permits energy purchasers to obtain via Internet the complete information they need from their financial cards – debit, payments made, debt status, etc. It is also possible to copy a bill, print a payment slip and make a payment via Internet. In addition, purchasers may view their bills for information purposes by entering required consumtion data.

9. Call Center

"Call Center" software solution allows energy purchasers to call a particular phone number to obtain information on debt status, the latest payment, the latest debit, whether they are planned for disconnection or claim, etc.
