No Nobel Literature Prize for the first time in nearly 70 years
The Swedish Academy has decided to postpone the awarding of the literature prize by a year due to the sexual harassment scandal, so as to have time to carry out a reform within the institution and name new members after several resignations, reports Radio Free Europe, citing France Press.
The Nobel Literature Prize has been awarded since 1901, with the only previous exceptions being the WWI period, 1914-1918, 1935, 1940, 1941, 1942 and 1943.
