Contracts for construction of six facilities for energy production from biomass signed - Expected annual production of app. 47 GWh

The minister of energy, Aleksandar Antic, signed on Friday (November 13, 2015), contracts on assigning of loans totaling USD 1,6 m for the support in construction of six new facilities in Serbia for combined production of electricity and heat from biomass and biogas. These facilities will be built in the next two years in Aleksinac, Bac, Alibunar and Zrenjanin.

After signing the contract at the Ministry of mining and energy with six qualified companies whose investments are, Antic said that with these facilities Serbia will get 6,32 MW installed electrical power.

Loans were provided to the tune of 15% of total investment value per project maximum, totaling USD 275.000 provided that the total value of each project is higher than USD 1,2 m.

Expected annual electricity production will total 47 GWh and nearly the same quantity of heat. These facilities use renewable energy sources and total investment is USD 22,7 m.

Contracts were signed with Forkom from Belgrade which will build facilities in Aleksinac, BGS Gama BP, BGS Alfa BP and BGS Beta BP which will build facilities in Bac.

Apart from that, contracts were signed with Biogas energy which will have facility at Ilandza at Alibunar and Bioelektra which will build facilities in Botos at Zrenjanin.
