After years spent abroad, where he did scientific research in biochemistry and cardiovascular diseases, Maksim Bakovic returned to Belgrade. Combining his years of scientific work with the implementation of new technologies, he came to the idea of founding
Nanocraft – a startup whose product will help diagnose cardiovascular diseases.
At the beginning of his interview for Netokracija, Maksim pointed out that each biotech startup required expert staff, adequate laboratory space and, of course, financing.
Due to the confidentiality of the project and the Law on Protection of Intellectual Property Maksim couldn’t reveal too much about the product itself. The only thing he could say was that it was a diagnostics method for an early detection of cardiovascular diseases, the kind of which had not been present in the local or the international market.
The effectiveness and the quickness of the realization of the ideas was helped to a great extent by the Faculty of Pharmacy, as the key partner of Nanocraft. TS Ventures Fund of Telekom Srbija has included it among the nine local innovative companies on whose development they will work in the coming period.
