The Construction of the Science-Technology Park (STP) in Nis should be completed in the first week of June, and the first tenants, tech companies and startups, will be able to move in as soon as this July.

The facility has 14,000 square meters, and the total value of the building, access roads and other infrastructure is EUR 15 million.

The mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatovic, says that the city has set aside EUR 2 million for access roads, infrastructural connections, ring roads and works in Nikole Tesle Blvd, which the STP faces.

– We have done something that the city has been waiting for for decades. This will be a new scientific, innovative and educational center, a place where new value will be created – Bulatovic emphasizes for Tanjug.

After the first companies are selected at the public invitation, which is in progress, the first tenants might move in this July and start operating in August, says the director of the STP Nis, Milan Randjelovic.

– The STP has recently opened a public invitation for companies who want to start or continue working here. We expect around 3,000 square meters to be rented in total within the first public invitation, thereby creating 250 to 350 jobs this year – Randjelovic told Tanjug.

When it comes to the value of the works on the STP building, EUR 12.5 million was invested in the facility.
