Luxury at the heart of the mountain beauty – Kopaonik to get elite complex worth EUR 150 mil by 2020 (PHOTO)

Kopaonik will soon get a luxurious tourist complex, Vizzion – Vrhovi Srbije and the infrastructure works have already started. With the beginning of the construction of the main pipeline of 4 km length, on Sunday, July 27, 2014, the implementation of the future tourist center at the most famous domestic mountain has started.

The pipeline will connect the future tourist center at Srebrnac with the fecal collector at Rendara and as Natalija Moskovljevic Miletic from the Brus municipality says for eKapija, the project totals EUR 800.000 and it will generate conditions for the beginning of the construction works on hotel complex for elite tourism with the capacity of 1.400 beds.

- The objective of the investment is to turn an attractive location with a very good position near ski paths and lifts into an elite tourist location, to form a space of specific spirit and environment which will completely be aligned with the nature, our collocutor points out, adding that the contractor on the pipeline placement is Belgrade-based Hidromontaza and the investor is Silver-Kop Development.

Luxurious hotels, bungalows, swimming pools, etc.

All these works together with the potable water plant construction which will start in the spring are only the preparation for the beginning of the works on the construction of the Vizzion–Vrhovi Srbije tourist and sports complex. They will occupy an area of 100.000 square meters.

- The intention of the Belgium partners is that the future facilities are located in the resting area, suites with the hotel service, mountain villas, commercial zone where wellness and spa center will occupy 2000 square meters and will comprise all additional facilities, heated and outdoor swimming pills, jakuzzi, saunas, medical center and other. All accommodation capacities will be with five starts - Moskovljević Miletic says.

According to the data published at the site of the investor of Vizzion Europe, a luxurious tourist complex will occupy 54 ha in the heart of the National Park Kopaonik near ski pat at 1.700 meters of elevation.

The entire complex is split in three zones – a resting area, a village and a valley. It was planned that the resting resort contains a hotel with 265 rooms, a conference hall, a wellness and a rehabilitation center, and outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Apart from that, two buildings with 110 suites would be located in that area and the construction of 26 bungalows has also been planned. The second part of the complex (a village) will comprise two buildings which would have a total of 300 suites (with one to three beds), where restaurants, bars and night clubs would be located. The third segment, a valley, should comprise five spacious bungalows and a building with 60 suites.

Multiple profit increase

Upon opening the works on the construction of the fecal collector, the president of the Brus municipality, Slobodan Vidojevic, pointed out that numerous benefits have been introduced as well as that the procedure of numerous licenses issuance has been improved o that more convenient environment for the increased number of investors would be generated. The local self-governance expects in a few years, the profit generated from tourism will multiply and they are convinced that not only implementation of these and similar projects at Kopaonik but also investments in the Brus spa will contribute to this.

Belgium company will pour EUR 150 mil by 2020 in the elite tourist complex construction when the completion of works is expected.
