Tivat like Monte Karlo – thanks to huge investments of Canadian businessman Peter Munk, Boka Kotor bay soon to become "epicenter" of Mediterranean tourism

Future nautical-tourist complex, which should be built in the next few years on the location of the present Military-Repair Institute "Arsenal" in Tivat, is currently the largest Canadian investment not only on the territory of western Balkans, but also in this part of Europe.

It is the project whose potential value is about 500m EUR. It should, once it is completed, raise the Boka Kotor bay to the level of famous Monte Karlo and maybe even exceed it.

- The plan is that the entire small town with up-to-date marina be built on the location of "Arsenal". This town would be focused on tourism, the owners of big yachts that would be docked here, entertainment and enjoyment - said the Manager of the Department of Economic Relations of the Embassy of Canada to Belgrade Đurđa Ćeramilac.

- Famous Canadian businessman Peter Munk has recently visited Kotor and Tivat, together with the representatives of Canadian Embassy to Belgrade, and he represented his idea on that occasion. His intention is that 150m EUR be invested in the first couple of years and that that money be used for construction of trade centers, hotels, restaurants and many other contents.

Peter Munk already donated special ship for cleaning of water in Boka Kotor bay to the City of Kotor in 2006 and he started the program intended for awarding scholarships to students from Montenegro who want to resume their education at some of the famous European universities.
